Fall is officially here and that means festival time in these parts. You can busy yourself each weekend in October with these special events. Visit the Coon Hollow Corn Maze. Enjoy the Hawthorne Hog fest. There's the High Springs Chamber of Commerce Fall Festival, the Alachua Harvest Festival, Florida Annual Bat Festival (yup! real bats!); The Alachua County Fair; McIntosh Festival of the 1890's and more.
Check our October Events Calendar on www.sandersrvs.com for details and links to the official websites for these events. Or, just scroll to the bottom of this issue. The Events Calendar is always there.
While we're all in such a festive mood, why not come on down to the store and visit. The coffee is always hot! |

Liquid Petroleum (LP) gas systems are an integral part of nearly every RV on the road today. The water heater, cooktop, oven, furnace and refrigerator are powered by LP gas. Forest River, one of the RV lines we carry states in their manuals . . .
"To insure proper operation, have the LP gas system checked frequently for leaks and road damage. The entire system including regulator pressure, should be checked annually or sooner, if you suspect a problem. Have the system checked by a qualified LP gas service technician using proper equipment."
"Line pressure for LP gas appliances should be checked at least every six months." We have all the proper LP testing (and repairing) equipment here in the shop. Before any new or pre-owned RV is delivered to a customer we have done a full check of the LP gas system and appliances.
Why not make a service appointment now and have your RV LP gas system thuroughly checked and tested.

For much of the year here in North central Florida, the relative humidity varies from high to "I can hardly stand this." If not controlled, the results of this water vapor invasion will include mold and mildew growing everywhere it can. The inside of your RV is no exception.
|
That is why we are now a dealerr for the Eva-Dry 1100 Petite Dehumidifier (pictured). This quiet compact device will go a long way in removing water vapor from your coach. It will eliminate up to 8 oz. of water each day. The device includes a 16 oz. removable water bucket. Just empty the bucket when it's full. Just plug it into a 110 volt outlet and walk away.
TST Drain Valve Lube - Too often RV owners will seek to replace a sticking grey or black tank valve. But, there may be an easier, faster and less expensive soluction. Try pouring 2 oz. of TST Drain Valve Lube into your empty grey and black tanks. Then use the tanks as you normally do. Come down to the store and pick up your 16 oz. bottle. |

I think I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I must admit that during this economic recession our sales of new and used RVs have not surpassed our prior year's sales. But, like the Little Train That Could, we've kept chugging along. While our website traffic has increased (www.sandersrvs.com) over last year, there were fewer visitors on the sales lot the last few months and financing has been difficult.
Now, in October, I can sense a change. For the past few weeks we've seen an increased interest in both our new and pre-owned RVs. More units are leaving the lot and we are taking in high quality trades.
So, maybe it's your turn to come out and choose a new or pre-owned RV. We'll be here waitin' for yah.
