    Campfire Pumpkin Pie


    • 1  pie crust
    • Filling:
    • 2 cups pureed pumpkin
    • 1 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
    • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 1/2 cups light cream or evaporated milk
    • 3 large eggs


    Mix all filling ingredients together, set aside. 

    Grease the bottom of your dutch oven so the crust does not stick.

    Place the crust on the bottom of the oven and pour the filling on top.

    Pinch the sides of the crust to form a decorative edge.

    Place the lid on the dutch oven and place in your campfire.

    Cover the lid with hot coals and bake for 20-25 minutes.

    Remove oven from fire, allow to cool before removing pie.

    Serve with your favorite whipped cream topping and enjoy!
